So Harrogate are now 2 leagues above York City. Who would ever have dreamt of that?

Fair point, but in our first season in the league we played Coventry City (and did a fantastic double over them)...if you had told me that would happen when I first started following Rovers I might have suspected you were under the influence of illegal substances!

If someone had said 3 years ago that we would be playing Harrogate, Barrow and Salford in the league at home in front of what will probably only be a maximum of around 600 fans I'd have thought we'd have been relegated to National League North!

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
