I can't understand why we would let a player as good as him go to one of our rivals.

Maybe he wanted to leave?

2 possibilities in my opinion;

(1) He wanted to move back to the East Midlands. Born in Nottingham, came through Derby County's youth system. Mansfield is just up the road.
(2) Mansfield were prepared to offer a better contract than us.
Sometimes 90 minutes is just not enough.

Third possibility: The manager wants to freshen up the squad, perhaps move in a different direction tactically or for other reasons unknown, and didn't see Faz as part of his plans.

Fourth possibility: he did not any longer wish to play for Cooper.

Could you please stop putting your personal dislike of MC into all the threads that you comment on. It's boring.

He moved some his nearer to family and where is from and as its Mansield probably more money.
I also think he prefers more old school defending and was never 100% comfortable with tippy tappy.

It is a thread where people are speculating on reasons why a player may have left. Perfectly valid to question the manager’s role in the situation.

One post said maybe Rawson was not in Cooper’s plans. It is just as legitimate to speculate whether Rawson wanted to be part of his plans.

What is the problem with that?

He would only be considered boring if he attributed everything that happened to a desire to be nearer Mansfield.

Please don't be confused.
There is nothing wrong with your posts and opinions (and you are definitely not boring!)

What is boring (and unacceptable) is when another poster continually uses this forum to verbally attack our manager.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
