Didn't Kieffer play well at Pompey this afternoon? Hosts found him hard to contain and Rotherham deserved their win

Always though Kieffer had great potential. Big, strong and fast. Good luck to him.

I'm amazed to learn that Ben Jefford is without a club. He is surely worthy of a starting LB berth in VNL.

Yes pity we couldn't keep Kieffer but, like Pinnock we couldn't stand in his way I guess. He would have been a better option than Mullings or Bugiel but then again they both may continue to develop.

I see Gary Owers has left Bath to take over from another ex FGR player at Torquay.

Good luck to him (and them!)

but Wrexham still take the points away at Tranmere. Kelly and Jennings played too. That leaves Tranmere only 2 points above the drop zone. Both of last season's NL play-off finalists are suffering long hangovers...

-or perhaps as reported :

'mutual consent'

(and of course Mr day goes with him )

not sure about this football managers life :

i guess there is money in the 'pay=offs' for contracts ending early, but does not do wonders for one's self esteem .

that given-with the average timespan in a job for a football manager under a tear now i think ,i guess its just accepted ,and accepted/expected from the outside;so maybe self esteem not that important to most managers

Pennock was an utter disaster as Gills manager. 3 wins in 29 league games. They went from a team with league 1 play-off aspirations to one of the weakest sides in the division under his tenure.

Budget wasn't the best, but tactically they were a shambles. He's a Gills legend and you can see why he took the job, but unfortunately he's ended up tainting his legacy by proving to be totally out of his depth. Majority of fans are relieved that he and Day have gone, which is a shame.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
