He seems a popular choice for a few clubs. Lots of skill and defensive ability too. If someone can improve his finishing composure (as Coops did with Woolery) a good acquisition

Now now, don't be naughty.

They are one of the bookies favourites to be relegated but I suspect they will record more support than FGR.
They have had almost 20 years to build up Football League support and we will be in our first season.
From other promoted club's experience, it takes a few years to build up greater solid support.
I suspect FGR will be no different even if we are in the promotion zone.

Besides Gloucester City retain solid support despite all their problems and I suspect it will be same for Cheltenham this season and next season for them in the National League.

Hi jnr
I wasn't looking at miles traveled, I was using a play on his name Homer(homing pigeon) andd then FA was referring to the location of another Homer (Odyssey and Iliad etc)

Mind you his travels have been something of an Odyssey he was even on the books of 3 US teams early on (didn't play though)

Former FGR youngster Jack Holmes is moving to Miami to further his sporting career.

I was not at game against Hungerford where he cracked four vertebrae in his back.
From memory he lay on ground for a long time before ambulance arrived.
But I was at Bishop Cleeve where he unluckily fractured his tibia.
Seems his luck has turned with him securing a chance to play in US
Good luck to the young man.

Yep. Maybe he'll get more minutes in League 1. I think he could be successful at that level if he has continued to learn.

And Alabi moves to Tranmere. He looked hopeless at FGR but began to make his mark at Chester

One of my favourite FGR players and a good signing for the O's I would think - he surely has another year or two in him at that level.

I love the way Tommo and many of us now write-'at that level' ,which is of course perfectly true , whereas under 3 months ago we were at 'that' level ,and indeed could so easily still be writing 'at this level

An interesting one. I don't think we ever really saw what he could do.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
