I reckon that's a significant first. Congratulations KM.

Well done Scott!

Gunning and Danny Wright get in for Solihull Moors; they are stating to move up..... might we see them again next year?

Kieffer lines up against the world cup finalists in a competitive game shortly. Defo another first for a former FGR player.

Good luck KM.

Another significant first last night ?

Tyrone Mings becomes the first son of a former Forest Green Rovers player to play for England?

Good on you, and well done.

Didn't know that:
Checked out Lady Magpie's records which shows:

MINGS ADIE = 8 starts, 11 subbed, but alas 0 goals

In what season did Adie play for FGR and how did team perform that year?

It would have been around 2000. I remember Adie smashing the ball into the opponent's net. Unfortunately their keeper was holding it at the time so the goal was disallowed.

Adi Mings was signed from Gloucester City in the 1999 - 2000 season, lived locally in Gloucester and was born in Chippenham. He was 31 when he joined FGR.

Reece Styche in the Gibraltar squad for their game v Georgia this evening, which they lost 2-3. Reece didn't get on the pitch though.

I remember Tyrone playing for Chippenham Town for several seasons getting rave reviews, is this a case of missing out on local scouting.?

Also, Charlie Ings when playing for Poole Town and scoring goals for fun, both Premiership standard players now.

Yeah, he seems to feature as a non-playing sub every time. Good for his air miles I guess.

Retired at age 29.
One wonders what a super player he might have turned out to be if not for that car crash at start of his career.
Pleased for Dale that he won all the Sutton player of the season awards in his year at Sutton.
In years to come he will be able to show his grandchilden what a popular player he was with club, fans and fellow players.
I'm sure I speak for all FGR fans who wish FGR legend Dale the very best for the future.

Dale was one of my favourite players too, brilliant player, absolute stalwart, always 100% committed and was a key part of our promotion winning side. Shame he's had to retire young, according to twitter he'll hopefully be at the 130 year celebrations against Crewe, where I'm sure he'll get a very warm welcome.

Aww, that's such a shame for him and for Sutton. I'm not surprised he did so well for them since he was always a 100% player for us and had a lot of talent for national League level. We got a great replacement in Shephard but Dale was still missed and its a pity he has had to give up before his time. I hope that in whatever he does next, he is successful.

Does anyone else think that a PSF v Sutton competing for the Dale Bennett Trophy would be well received by both sets of supporters ?

not one of those farcical testimonial things-just a proper serious pre season game

Think you might have meant Charlie Austin not Ings there John. Lost out in signing him during the Hockaday years I think when he joined Swindon.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
