Time to Change the Forum Footer

Postby Chrisgump11 » Thu Jun 15, 2017 11:05 am

At the foot of this page, the text reads:

"about fgr
Based in the town of Nailsworth, we are currently the longest serving member of the Football Conference having served the league well since 1998. We are aiming to break this habit over the next few seasons and climb into the football league for the first time with positive changes and investment on and off the pitch pushing us towards success"

Time for change!

Nowt done yet G/J and the 'opposition forums' column is still reflecting National League. :o

The main site however, is just about there but for any likely additions to the squad and the 'League table' has been updated to reflect EFL 2.

I've requested the changes from the IT team, I can do no more.

Four days to go to the big kick off. In a week of media frenzy and announcements, any news on when the 'opposition forums' list will be updated? National League is so yesterday!

Yea... I keep having to use a thingy called "google" (what a daft name.... have you heard of it?) to find forums of League 2 clubs.
It's a right pain.

The footer is changed even if it doesn't make for brilliant reading.

and with regards to forum links, I've done my best impression of someone who knows how to edit code... hopefully it's all working as it should. :P

Just in time for the first game of the season

OK Simba. Pass it off as a typo.

Like to keep it professional looking. We're in a proper football league now. :D

The link for Yeovil Towns forum appears to direct to the Brighton and Hove Albion forum

I know DV is looking for the Championship but a PL club seems somewhat high ambition wise

Hi
No: it is the Yeovil Forum, but they have chosen to use Brighton's stadium in their header

It's not the Yeovil forum - rather bizarrely the link goes to a thread on the Brighton forum where they are discussing whether Yeovil have their own forum

Can I refer you to my post in June on the same subject:

Until the forum links are updated on our forum, here are the links that I have added to my site:

http://www.forestgreenroversfc.co.uk/id29.html

I know there is a problem with Yeovil Town Forum, but if you see any more please let me know

Thanks

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
