Like the average Cheltenham tackle last Saturday.
Your hands-down winner.

I can recall in more recent times the 1970 FA cup final between Chelsea and Leeds was re- refereed using match footage based on modern directives it would have led to 23 red card instances. They were tough back then.

And back before that, they were even tougher. Heading mud-soaked leather footballs, kicking with heavy soggy leather boots, come rain, hail, snow, ice, or snow covered pitches with the lines dug out

Subject of medical concerns, with the heading of the modern light weight footballs in even Summer conditions now.

I scored some of my best goals in the play-ground at school - the one where i broke free from the defence to drill past the hap-less keeper.........i was never off-side !.

Excellent video - thanks. Each tackle slightly worse than the last.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
