Hi Ash. Re back page SNJ, Mark Coopers column regarding the Woking game:

Did he really say "The supporters are beginning to understand are way of playing"? Terrible editing on someone's part there old chap. ;)

It's a Gloucestershire thing although 'up north' they say "are Mum" "are kid" (brother). Teachers have to spend a lot of time eradicating this in children's spelling in their primary school days.

Thanks for pointing it out.
Mistakes happen when under pressure and the sports desk is just me.
Normally leave FGR at 9pm on a Saturday and more to do on Sunday.
The job has changed massively in the last few years.

Reminds me of a Lee mack moment in Not Going Out where he applies for a mortgage and for occupation he put proof reader and the bank manager points out he spelt it wrong

Good interview. A more complex response to the question about whether the team are in a good place than we might have expected.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
