There will be a 'training session' for ambassadors at 2pm on 17th September (before the Bromley game) in the Nailsworth Suite.

Thank you to all those who responded to the invitation to attend. The following have been allocated places. If for any reason you cannot attend, please let me know.

Parents should leave the ambassadors at the suite anytime after 1.55 and return to collect at 2.40.

Issy Arris
Elsie Heslop
Wilf Doble
Eddy Turner
Jake Tronier
Atticus Lynham
Harry Pegler
Eve Rasdell
Grace Purnell
Jessica Smith
Matthew Binns
Scarlett Holland
Ellis Gardiner
Tyler Watson

I will endeavour to organise another session for any other ambassadors who didn't open the email soon enough to respond to the invitation.

Good luck with the training Phil, nice to see an almost equal split in gender too :)

Hi Kennysarmy
One of the huge advances in the last two years has been to appoint more female ambassadors, they have been terrific in promoting FGR in their schools and communities. This is reflected in the number of girls/ladies who attend matches. I visit almost all grounds during the season and the ratio of families/females at FGR seems higher than anywhere.

The gender split for the training was not engineered, it was determined by the the rapid response times to the invitation to training. For anyone who is interested:

Ambassador Training 17/9 before the Bromley match (limited to 14)

2.Your commitment - to have fun, promote FGR in your schools and communities

Thanks to all those who attended the training session and to Dale Vince who popped in to say hello.

There were a lot of interesting ideas and suggestions about how to promote FGR in your schools and local communities. The match reports are being returned to me for the programme very promptly and it's great to see features on FGR in magazines and the papers often featuring ambassadors. I believe one of our ambassadors was interviewed on film by the Italian TV company before the Bromley game.

Humour is important, as we mentioned at the training. Elsie has certainly remembered this in her report just published on The Citizen website.
