Yes and no.
I worked for many years with dedicated Cheltenham supporters in Tewkesbury.
And after our next home game against them I will be hosting a meal with one of their season ticket holders and his family who happens to be one of my best mates.
I also had the honour of attending a wedding reception at Whaddon Road for same mate and his wife.
So yes I'm more than interested in Cheltenham and offer you no apology on that score.
But you also know that I'm FGR.

ps The reference to Joycie and vacancy at CTFC was written tongue in cheek because we are also in same position as Cheltenham.

I think you'll find Joycie's got a job already.

I think it's got something to do with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.

Just catching up with AussieStu's comments. Thanks for your work for FGR, glad we'll still see you about. Does 'energy route' mean you are full time Ecotricity or have you left Dale's employ?

Joycie has joined Brimscome and Thrupp FC. I'm very pleased for him.

Good luck to Joycie and The Lilywhites for the coming season.

Can't keep a good man down.
He now has his own local football video blog alongside John Palmer, sports editor for the Cheltenham Echo.
Good on yer, Joycie

FGR is 11 minutes into video.

Good for Rich. Hopefully he will raise the Echo's standards rather than them pull his down? Beware the ghost of Pete Orchard, Rich - murder most foul in those offices ....

Really pleased that Joyce has landed on his feat, but thought the video was overall poor: wasn't that interesting and the questions were very weak/light.

And 11mins of Cheltenham and less tan 2mins for FGR = no real change in the Echo bias......

I like Joyce, but I will not be listening to anything from the god-awful ****!!

A horrible Crappy biased Cheltenham paper, who give far more coverage to Brimscombe than they do to Football league FGR!!

They really are the pits, and I include that idiot Cheltenham Jorno who is on with Joycie.

It's amazing how the Citizen gets away with their treatment of FGR actually!!

I don't know this story but it sounds like something Miss Marple would be involved in solving the case.

Just watched the latest project Joycie is working on. The aim is I believe to get all local teams a mention to help raise their profiles. First programme tonight, but like his radio show, the Locker Room, the intention is to have some guests on and to further develop the programme with clips.

Good to see he is moving on and taking his career in another exciting direction.

I did miss the "come on you rovers" v Yeovil prior to kick off. Probably more because I was not sure what the announcer was really saying just prior to kick off. It was just a garbled confused damp squib of a thing that seemed to go on for an eternity. I was bored by the time the ball was kicked  Thank goodness the football eventually started and was so entertaining.

Joycie has probably ruined your hearing, give the new PA boy a chance.

Bit harsh Mothy

As much as we all miss Joycie, the new PA lad has, IMO, made a great start. He is an ex ambassador and I'm delighted he had had the confidence and enthusiasm to step up to the plate, following in the very capable footsteps of Richard Joyce.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
