Not a happy return to the lawn for Jared Hodgkiss 3-1 to FGR.

Quite surprised at the ticket sales so far in East Stand for this ( Friday morning) .

Prices well reduced, but so many season ticket holders in D, E and F haven't taken up their option. Was hoping it would be rocking.

Early Xmas shopping? Bonfire building? Thoughts?

Especially as I spent ages making a silver paper FA Cup..my first since the early 60s,

I had noticed the same. Given we didn't make the FA cup last season I was expecting a bumper crowd, a rocking atmosphere and confidence boosting dominant win.

FGR 3 - Macclesfield 1

Come on the mighty rovers.

I just checked through the FA Cup regulations and can find no mention of the single match option which does appear in some other Cup/Trophy competitions.

FA Cup early rounds have never been decided on the day. These days the quarters, semis and final are though.

I forecast someone (probably me) offering to sell to a supporter (might be you) quiz night tickets for Friday 8 December.

Tickets will be on sale from reception at tomorrow's game and also from the Carol Embrey Suite.

It's a fundraiser jointly with FGR ladies and the Supporters Club.

Tickets are £5 a head including food which will be a selection of different chillies or beans with baked potatoes and accompaniments.

Teams of up to 6 on the night. Doors open 6.30. And quiz starts at 7.30. Full bar all night.

It should be a great evening. And great value while supporting FGR.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
