Looks like quite a small crowd, hopefully a decent atmosphere anyway.

Commentary working fine. Sounds just like a game from last year.

Bob's called Macc Morecambe and Kidderminster already this half :D At least I can hear him loud and clear. Sound like we're mostly on top.

Osbourne and (Lee) Collins immense so far.

Defence looking good and did that goal really go in off Doidge’s bum? Anyway they come, well take ‘em.

Well done Laird for the pull back - he is looking better and did well to be in the box.

Need to get a hold of this as we're letting them back into it.

Poor crowd and we're letting them back in to it a bit by sounds of it. Let's have another.

Never know if we're really making a meal of it or if Bob's too nervy but pleased to hear the whistle. Sincs played in a great Oxford City win I see.

I'll take a 1-0 win in the FA Cup so bring on the next team. I make that 5 yellows for Bennett, silly one for time wasting.

Final completed team sheet for those who print out a copy: http://www.forestgreenroversfc.co.uk/id31.html

Attendance: 1387 (212 from Macclesfield)

Man-of-the-Match: Manny Monthe

Still not gone back to my H/T Bovril, it obviously doesn't work this season.

Happy Supporter

Not a great game to watch but we were never under any real pressure and Collins had a quket game in goal.Omar had a chance to ected the lead but shot wide.Good to see Jared Hodgkiss and his bun again.

That'll do nicely thank you very much.

A win, a clean sheet, through to the next round and avoiding the ignominy of defeat to a 'lower league team', even though in reality Macclesfield are only a very few rungs down the football ladder from FGR.

Couldn't care less what part of Doidge's anatomy it went in off!

Nice to see Manny given MOTM, suggests he had a good game. Could do with a few more players challenging to start each week.

Hope Traore injury isn't serious...

A shame the youngster Stevens didn't get more game time. We've got about eight weeks to give one of our youngster's a decent run upfront, which could save us a few quid.

Hereford at home next round anyone?

Just got in from work and delighted with the news. As stated above...... a win, a clean sheet, and in Mondays 2nd round draw - Saturday night could not be better. Just about to crack open the first ( of many ) ciders. Well done to everyone involved - you have made my day.

What a disappointment. Gone have the days when the FA Cup brought excitement and anticipation. The atmosphere was non existent. The play on the field was negative. Instead of going forward we passed sideways and backwards when a break was possible. Manny went on a couple of surging runs to lift the spirits but as a football event it will go down as insipid.
I suspect several will call it professional but today was the day I lost faith in the FA cup.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
