Lincoln v FGR: match forecast

Lincoln continue their fine form from last season and are now in 3rd and automatic promotion spot in Division 2. Their upsurge in good results is almost entirely down to the appointment of the Cowley brothers. FGR have yet to get the better of them in that management role.
Lincoln’s win at TNL last season was the kick start they needed to win the National League title. They beat us earlier this season at TNL, where Danny C seemed so happy with his team scoring what was winning goal that he celebrated as if it were a Wembley final.
However FGR have had some excellent results at Sincil Bank and although Lincoln are 3rd in table they have had reversals at home.

Form guide [6 games] has Lincoln in 2nd spot with 13 pts: L W W W D W
Unfortunately FGR in same table are 22nd with 4pts: W L D L L L

Lincoln are 7th in home form with 11 pts: D D L W W W
FGR are 9th in away form with 8pts: D W W D L L

On the form guide and FGR’s performance against Carlisle, Lincoln must be confident of a home win. However FGR’s first half performance of the abandoned match at Exeter showed that at our best we are as good as any team in the league.
I suspect FGR will be at their best in Lincoln and could come away with a surprise result:
Lincoln 1-1 FGR

///////////////////////////////////////

Congrats to Silver Surfer, GetCarter & RyRover in forecasting 0-1 result against Carlisle.
All three move to next higher table.
Two others had an away win for our opponents.

Edit - had a couple of brews last night and bet someone we would win 2-1, so better stick with that on here and hope the beer gods are looking down on me.

arg i am struggling with this one. I have got no prediction correct all season. I don't know why i suddenly I feel like I don't know what is going to happen, because statistically I never have!

2-0 Lincoln ?

Well not as easy as when AP was here and we only had 0 0, or 1 0 either way to choose from
I'm going for 1 1

A little bit of optimism to FGR from one of Lincoln's posters who has said that a few of the Lincoln players have flu.
I'm not sure if that is a wind-up but it seems genuine.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
