We're totally screwed if he does leave, but who would blame him? Didn't really get a sniff today despite working so hard again.
Your hands-down winner.

Won’t happen during this season
End of the season maybe depending on where we finish

No doubt he'll be off at the end of the season but would be madness to le him go before then, whatever the price.

If he goes in January that effectively seals relegation so I would be amazed if that happens. The worry will be he is or will become frustrated with the teams situation and lack of support he gets on the pitch and will desperately want to go for his own career. I maybe wrong but didn’t he get relegated out of league two with Dagenham? I can’t imagine he will want to go through that again

£1,000,000, I'm a bit incredulous but if that's true - take it - and don't squander it. If that is the figure would suspect it would be £500,000 plus the rest depending on appearances and sell on. Wisely spent half a million could keep the club in the league.

Look at it the other way, if we had no Doidge and the money instead we wouldn't spend it all on one class player.

Even a million is nowhere near enough when you consider the cost of any half decent replacement and the cost of getting relegated which will be even more likely without Christian. Plus he'll still be worth good money on the summer and have a choice of clubs if he wanted to move on you'd expect.

Don’t think it will be up to the club if an offer comes in.

If he knows Cardiff have made a bid I’m sure he will make sure he is off. Why would he not. Championship playoffs. Could be a premiership player in half a seasons time.

.......or could end up like Stuart Fleetwood. A few reserve games then loaned out and dumped. At least with us he knows he will play every and be worshipped by the fans.

I see Billy Bodin has left Bristol Rovers and joined Preston for a reported fee of 400k. He would have been a free agent at the end of the season. With this in mind, I wonder whether Bristol Rovers will come sniffing. I believe this would be a more logical move but when is football logical !!!

If CD goes to Cardiff, he will be nearer to take his washing home for Mum to do, and he could even save on his rent !!.

I wouldn't say that was being robbed, it was more like putting a huge stack of cash on the pavement and watching happily as your neighbour picked it up and walked off.

btw what does Doidge have left on his contract.

If clubs are very keen to secure his signature now I wonder if we could negotiate the transfer this January with a clause to loan him back til the end of the season?
We get the money to reinvest now when we desperately need it, Cardiff (?) get their man at the end of the season, Doidge gets his well deserved move and gets to have one last hurrah here trying to drag us to safety.
Id rather get less money for him on this kind of deal than a full million and have to try a replacement

Yep-above is ideal scenario.

that given-always take the money imo.

Doidge-very good player and goalscorer-imagine how good he would be if FGR actually created some chances for him!!

If he went though-no major issue.

If enough chances are created @even my granny could score @

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
