Playing devils advocate aint easy, but i will have a go, the newer fans, for me,are more than welcome and a boost to the club as we go forward, but they have to realise that us longer term fans have endured some woeful times in the past, where we have only survived relegation by having football wise members on the board, and, so when someone like DV comes in at the 23rd hour and saves the club from certain extinction, but also promises the world for the price of accepting his regime can turn out to be a tad irritating, and by this I mean, we dont care how many vegetable samosas we sell, we dont really care that much about how organic our pitch is, because we are old school fans, just interested in our teams position in the footballing world, we dont care for a certain style, we care about results, for, although its a sport, its a results orientated sport. Now I personally have no negative thoughts about DV`s ethics, but I do care how Forest Green is run as a football club, and there is a fine line between running it as an advertising tool for your ethics and running it with football being the main reason. Dale needs to wise up to the real reasons we have such an unique club, its not something he developed, we were unique well before him, so, he needs to accept that whilst his "new" batch of fans are both welcome and enticed he has to respect that the older football purists need some things done in the old fashioned way, this means a total review of communications, fan management and football inspired advisers on the board, the latter my main gripe, as someone with experience in this field would have prevented the situation we find ourselves in now, advise on signings, contracts, communications and stewarding just to name a few.
