Well here's hoping that Newport are shattered after chasing Spurs round the Wembley pitch for 95 minutes tomorrow night !!!!
That being the case I'm going or an optimistic 3-1 to Rovers !!!

Not sure if I have this right, but according to http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-gov ... club=71363 Newport has four players one yellow card away from a ban, including two of their best.

Do yellow cards in the FA Cup count towards the league? I think they do.

If so it will be interesting to see if these four can avoid bookings against Spurs.

Impressed by Newport, both in the home league match against us and against Spurs in the FA Cup, - they're fit, fast, big and strong. They'll be looking to press on up the league, boosted by their FA Cup performances. Don't think there'll be any points for us on Saturday - 2-1 to Newport.

Thought they gave a good account of themselves in the cup (Pipey very much included!) and we might struggle with that early pressing so not overly optimistic but will go for an away win anyhow, wonder strikes from Dayle and Bray and one each for Reidy and Christian, 2-1 down at the half win 4-2 8-)

Will be interesting to see how we go on Sat after our trip to Wembley last night. Influential players on 9 yellows have been playing on eggshells for past couple of league games, so not to miss Spurs. Regardless of what our gaffer has said it has affected our league performances of late plus no one wants to miss playing at Wembley through injury. Still the cup run has put £1m into the coffers and it’s been one hell of a ride.
Prob a good time for you guys to be playing us. Unless players are rotated this Sat the usual starting XI will be knackered.
Lost 3 on the bounce now, hadn’t lost 2 in a row previously all season.
And last time you played at Dave we were on the receiving end of a 5-0 tonking!

Hi Roger, thanks for your thoughts both on this and the 'Newport Support' thread.

Your club has been a great advert for League 2 in their battle against Spurs. I'm sure Saturday's match against FGR, will be a lot closer than the one at TNL in 2017 - we are stronger, your season has been a successful one, but there will be tired legs and an 'after the Lord Mayor's Show' feeling for Newport.

Your manager does not seem to rotate players much, but surely there will be some changes tomorrow? Our last visit to you was arguably our best away performance of the century, but it has no relevance to tomorrow's game except in the wonderful memories of our travelling support that day. We will bring a good following and I'm sure the game will be entertaining.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
