I can't speak for anyone else-but i suspect most do knw and realise that .

seems to me that main thrust of debate is how good is/was he (i thought very good ) and why he did not get more game time.

as you say though KS -managed to get promoted without him -so Mr C got it right again .

-a slight aside-whilst most clubs see their ex players progress higher-i'm not to sure there are too many who have seen Norwood /Moore/Pinnock/Brown/Doidge all go to perceived 'big clubs 'in the last 3 years
have i missed anyone ?

(coming seasons 'next big thing ' Mondal imo )

Why are we discussing Aaron under ex-players? Has he gone already?

It was a tie-up with michael's Mondal comment.

Chris Stokes has moved from Bury to Stevenage.
Sometimes 90 minutes is just not enough.

Interesting piece on Jamie Day (now Bangladesh manager) in this month's Four Four Two magazine. Didn't mention his time at FGR though.

An unfortunate pre-season injury for Reuben Reid means he requires minor knee surgery and so will be missing for a while at the start of the season at Cheltenham Town.
I wish him well.

Poor Reuben. As last year, injuries mar his progress and fitness. Hope you mend quickly Reuben

Touché monsieur Charlie!

'Reject' was a description I used, tongue in cheek over Cheltenham's acquisition of Reuben & Tav. Never meant as a personal slur, it is however accurate. Reuben was transfer listed, Tav loaned out until his contract expired.

As many have said. Reuben is a good guy - personable and articulate. So too Tav (much beloved of NFR). But both were rejected by FGR.

I do not wish either to prosper against Rovers when we play them, but in all other fixtures I wish them well, as with many of our old players

Aww that’s tough on anyone just joining and settling into a new club and it’s particularly tough when approaching the twilight of your career and precious time is running out. I really hope Rueben makes a quick recovery and gets some goals this season.

3 Headed attempts saved 1 free kick won in the attacking half, and not given an attempt at a penalty in shootout.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
