Carlise away (non forecast stuff )

Postby michael » Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:50 am

we hear from MC that the team are travelling today and staying overnight tonight which seems emanently sensible and professional (and expensive ).

what i did wonder is whether the team also stays post match ?
if post game team are ready to leave at 10.30 pm-with a stop, thats prob back in gloucester area for 5am.
coach perhaps needs two pilots.
not great to travel that late at night .

thus i wondered whether team also stays tuesday night ? (more expense but much less risk )

does anybody know ?

Pretty sure they travel yeh day before to most away games that are more than 2 hours away. They then travel straight back after the game. The following day is usually the players day off

I guess travel straight back after game, with no training and a day-off on Weds.

agreed and yes to the above replies-i simply wondered whether carlise is a bit different.

getting back at 5am is not great, and some may say - a bit different to 1 am

If they are going up by train, maybe they'll return the same way? In which case, next morning.

I guess a coach could be sent up for them, though.

Just had a message from club that departure time of coach has been put back an hour.
It now leaves TNL at 12.10 and will have 19 passengers for its journey.
And I'll be one of them :D

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
