Carlisle v FGR: match forecast

Carlisle are having a real mixed season.
Early bookies favourites to be in relegation trouble but they seem to have established themselves in the safety of mid-table.

Mixed results between our two teams although historically FGR have done well at Bruton Park.

Both teams had a win on Saturday although neither team won game by more than one goal. So expect a low scoring match.

Carlisle 1 FGR 1, Stevens to score.

Hard to know who will play. I agree with Lovejoy on another thread that we would be better if we could play a more settled side. But we looked very tired in the heat yesterday, the young players can’t play every game and Joe Mills looks like he needs a break. With another spell of two games per week. We need to exercise the whole squad.

I think Adams, Collins, Shepherd and McGinley will all get game time on Tuesday but I’m not sure who needs will make way.

A win would be wonderful with Stevenage next but I think our recent luck may even out and we will concede a late one

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
